Our desire is to create an MMO survival game in a persistent universe. We thus have the ambition to evolve the “survival” genre (Conan Exiles, Ark Evolve, Valheim, V-Rising) towards a persistent and massively multiplayer Universe.
Regarding the graphic style, we opt for a very detailed and very colorful solution! We don't want post-apocalyptic to mean dull design. We want a landscape very different depending on the season. (More info about seasons in METACUBE: The World)
Here are some examples of level design that we want to take inspiration from:
Isometric FTW
As you can imagine from the views of the previous images, we like isometric because in addition to being to our taste, it allows us to bring a nervous design and is faster to develop which allows us to deliver an alpha version of the game faster than if we had to develop in real-time 3D. However, this judgment may be revised if it is not to the taste of the community since it is up to them to make such an important decision.
If I tell you futuristic, realistic and post-apocalyptic you are probably thinking of Fallout, we are too.
